New Research on Asthma Pathophysiology Guiding Drug Development

Recent advances in understanding asthma pathophysiology are driving the development of novel Anti Asthma Drugs targeting specific molecular pathways involved in airway inflammation and remodeling.

Asthma is now recognized as a heterogeneous disease with multiple endotypes, including eosinophilic, neutrophilic, and mixed inflammatory profiles. Research into cytokines such as IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13, as well as pathways involving TSLP and alarmins, has paved the way for biologics and small molecules aimed at these targets.
